She Work Space, a pioneering initiative by the Government of Kerala, is led by the Kodakara Block Panchayath in Thrissur district. This project stands as a testament to the state’s dedication to empowering women through capacity building and promoting economic justice. It is a physical space of about 7,750 Sqm Built up area in seven floors, designed to ensure gender equity through
collective action and solidarity, providing them with the necessary resources, infrastructure, and support to thrive.
By offering shared workspaces, training programs, mentorship opportunities, and networking events, She Work Space seeks to address the unique challenges faced by women in the workplace. She Work Space is envisioned as an exemplary space of inclusion of all marginalized sectors falling in different gender categories and identities.
Rooted in a social justice and gender equity perspective, this project aims to create a conducive and supportive environment for women entrepreneurs and workers, with a special focus on women
cooperatives and labor collectives. To further the goals of She Work Space and foster a vibrant community of women, an International She Work Space Conclave – She-Hive is being organised by Kodakara Block Panchayath, Government of Kerala in association with the Kerala Institute of Local Administration (KILA) at Kerala Institute of Local Administration (KILA) Campus in Thrissur District, Kerala on 2024 December 17 – 18.
This three-day event will bring together researchers, academics, policymakers, entrepreneurs and activists to discuss and debate the latest trends and challenges in women’s capacity building. The conclave will provide a platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and collaboration, ultimately contributing to the creation of a more equitable and gender just society in Kerala. Media Analysis and Research Center was commissioned to provide documentation, video coverage, live streaming and web designing services for the She Work Space-Conclave.

The conclave featured an inaugural session, vision setting, and idea hackathon. The event was attended by dignitaries, including the Mr. K. Rajan, Hon. Minister for Revenue, GoK, and
Mrs. Kanta Singh, the Dy. Country Representative, UN Women.
Media Analysis and Research Center team provided comprehensive documentation services, including Event coverage of the entire conclave, captured high-quality images of the event, which were used for promotional purposes, live video coverage of the conclave, live streaming on social media platforms; YouTube and Facebook and designed a dedicated website for the She Work Space initiative.
